Meet Latiema Merilus, PMHNP-BC
Hi, I’m Latiema, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
I founded MAPS because I know how overwhelming life can feel when your mental health is suffering - and how powerful it is to have someone in your corner.
Before I became a nurse, I spent years in finance and earned a master’s degree in Urban Policy. It was during that time that I saw just how little support existed for people struggling with mental health. I didn’t want to stay on the sidelines. So I went back to school, earned my degrees in nursing and psychiatry, and dedicated my life to helping others heal.

I care deeply about creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and heard. Whether you’re managing anxiety, recovering from trauma, or navigating life changes, I’ll work with you to create a plan that fits your life - not the other way around.
